André Santana provides an energetic voice for a small Brazilian house as it tells the interconnecting stories of its teen inhabitants in three different time periods. Author Vitor Martins's story is warm, compelling, and highly unusual as each of the teens reaches a new stage of comfort with their sexual identity. What this means at the cusp of the new millennium, in 2010, and during the early weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic differs as much as the teens' personalities. Santana delineates their individuality through pacing and moderate changes in pitch as the house repeats dialogues that took place within each household. Narrator Jay Aaseng shows up in the final chapter as a three-legged dog named Keanu Reeves. A delightful LGBTQ+ story-- delightfully performed.
