Narrator Michael Quinlan carefully delivers years of work documenting Donald Trump's presidency by reporters for the NEW YORK TIMES and the NEW YORKER, respectively. Quinlan narrates with a newsman's skill, meaning he is deliberate and dispassionate no matter how difficult the subject matter is to hear. While many of the stories are familiar, this work quotes the people in the room at the time. The anecdotes are often frightening, such as when Trump wanted border patrol agents to "just shoot" people in the legs at the southern border or to fill a border moat with alligators. Trump's admiration for dictators, his demand to be worshipped, and his ignorance of how government functions make this work as important as it is eye-opening. M.S.
