THE THIRD TRANSLATION

by | Read by Nick Sullivan

Mystery & Suspense • 13.25 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2005

Piggybacking on the success of THE DA VINCI CODE, Bondurant's fictional debut is set in contemporary England and is an odd mixture of ancient mystery, rare documents, greedy thieves, and an American Egyptologist. Nick Sullivan's comfortable, raspy narration is a good match for the plot and helps maintain listener interest as historian William Rothschild strives to solve the riddle of the Steler of Paser. Sullivan conveys the atmospheric, almost haunted, tone of a quest that leads to an Egyptian cult and involves elements of contemporary physics such as black holes and string theory. The articulate narration adds to the suspense of this thriller. S.C.A. © AudioFile 2005, Portland, Maine [Published: OCT/NOV 05]
