THE JOSSING AFFAIR

Chris Humphreys gives a lively narration of this gripping WWII spy novel, set in Nazi-occupied Norway. Tore Haughland, a member of the Resistance, is a "jossing," a patriot who receives communications from England and relays them to a network of spies around the country. His cover story puts him in even more danger than his risky assignments. Humphreys enlivens the excellent character development of the novel, changing and modulating his voice wherever needed. His pronunciation of the many German and Norwegian names that pepper the narrative and his British, Norwegian, German, and American accents are impeccable (which helps listeners avoid confusing the many characters).
