More than one hundred years ago, extract from coca leaves and cola nuts were blended to produce one of the most well-known products in today's world, Coca-Cola. Pendergrast's book is chock-full of facts, and some fables, about the people and events that made Coke what it is today. Although this detailed material is not compelling listening, reader Jonathan Marosz does a creditable job presenting it in an easygoing, straightforward manner.
