This cozy historical mystery is the first in a new mystery series set in Victorian London. It features young Lady Amelia, who secretly writes an advice column for a London newspaper under the pseudonym "Lady Agony." The ebullient, airy voice of Ella Lynch will charm listeners and draw them into this story about a string of murders. Amelia is described by the author as clever and brave, but feckless and reckless might seem more accurate. While some of the story's references lack historical accuracy or are awkward, this production has its strong points. Lynch gives a masterfully gossipy yet authoritative reading of the Lady Agony column that precedes each chapter. Her portrayal of Amelia's friend, Kitty, is spot-on.
