A GIFT OF VALOR

In April 2004, Corporal Jason Dunham, a 22-year-old Marine from the tiny town of Scio, New York, was mortally wounded while on patrol in Iraq. The circumstances of his self-sacrifice earned him a posthumous nomination for the Congressional Medal of Honor. This work chronicles the life of Corporal Dunham, all well as those of his family, the town of Scio, and his comrades. Michael Prichard does a fine job narrating this moving work. His expressive tenor smoothly and confidently delivers the story to the listener. He can be as tough as nails when reading of the stark brutality of combat yet amazingly gentle when relating the anguish of Dunham's family at the death of this beloved son.
