FOUR LETTERS OF LOVE

The father of a young family escapes his obligations to them by leaving home to go off to paint pictures. A young woman leaves her island home to escape her guilt over her brother's physical handicaps. This novel of Ireland comes together with the sound of a very unusual voice. Stuart Langton's vocal expression may be categorized as monotone, but there is a range beyond that. It is the drumming of the same sound that actually ties together the story of the painter to the story of the girl.
