MEDUSA'S SISTERS

In this complex and detailed expansion of the Medusa myths, narrators Taylor Harvey and Zura Johnson bring the perspectives and voices of Stheno and Euryale to life. The two Gorgons are the older sisters of Medusa; all three of them are known for having hair made of snakes and for their powerful abilities to fight evil. After Medusa is raped by Poseidon and cursed by Athena, her sisters attempt to avenge those wrongs. Johnson's melodic intonation and sensitive first-person portrayal help listeners immerse themselves in Stheno's story. Harvey delivers the voice of Euryale in a third-person narration that brings a compelling contrast and further illuminates the characters. Together, Harvey and Johnson keep listeners enthralled.
