HIGH DRUID OF SHANNARA Straken

Holding dark magic within his dark wand, Penderrin Ohmsford sets off to rescue his aunt Grianne, the Ard Rhys of the druids, from the Forbidding, a place where evil creatures have been banished. In the meantime, his friend, fairy princess Khyner Elessedil, travels with his father and mother and rebel druids and trolls to vanquish the evil druids and the Federation. Charles Keating's sonorous voice brings all the characters to life, making them seem like old friends. The plot, names, and events may be confusing for those who have never ventured into Brooks's worlds.
