FREEDOM'S CHALLENGE

Freedom's Challenge, part of the Freedom series, deals with the continuing challenge of a group of colonists to create a comfortable life on a previously inhabited planet and their opportunity to free Earth from invaders. The division of female and male characters between Breck and Hill is an effective way to help the reader keep straight the large number of important players. The one distraction is found during extensive dialogue among male characters when Breck, in her role as narrator, is left with an almost singsong "Zainal said," "Dick said."
