FRESH AIR: ON STAGE AND SCREEN includes excerpts from Gross's interviews with 18 actors and actresses, including Mel Brooks, Jeremy Irons, Audrey Hepburn, and Faye Dunaway. Unfortunately, this "greatest hits" compilation suffers from poor recording quality (low volume and steady background hiss). These brilliant interviews deserve to be anthologized whole, with all of Gross's introductions and farewells, and duplicated with care to provide studio-quality sound.
