GETTING THE LOVE YOU WANT

The author's 1988 personal growth classic holds an array of valuable ideas on the psychological components of long-term romantic relationships. The basis of the book--that scars and vulnerabilities from our families of origin influence what we expect from our romantic relationships--is now well known but still empowering to hear in this extended lesson. The language is accessible, and the lessons practical and familiar. The 12 hours will require a serious commitment to learning, but the material could be helpful when confronting layers of painful feelings in a difficult marriage.
