If you think you know Southern accents, think again. Among the most amazing aspects of this audio treat is the versatility of its narrator's many voices. The nuances of her Southern drawls, which range from genteel urbanity to honey-dripping coquettishness, are many and varied. Cynthia Darlow makes her way amid these elongated vowels with panache; in fact, there are transitions between characters that are so distinct as to seem like completely different readers.
