Bali Rai is delightful in this second of his Tales from Devana High. Dean's brother supplies him with bootleg CDs and cellular phones, which he sells at school. Trouble strikes when the kids realize that their bargain phones are duds, and Dean and his brother are forced to confront their irate customers. Narrator Akemnji Ndifornyen is irresistible as Dean's charming Jamaican-English family, especially Gramps. He also perfectly captures upper-crust students and lovably eccentric teachers.
