CARPE DEMON

Kate Connor has given up her career as a demon hunter in order to live a regular life with her husband and child. But that doesn't stop one from seeking her out, crashing through the window and dying in her kitchen on the night when her husband brings eight men home for dinner. The fantastic nature of this plot requires a reader who is soft in voice and who believes every word that comes from her mouth. Laura Hicks gives a brash interpretation and does not catch her listener.
