IS ANYBODY THERE?

Jo's mother always trusted her, so she was allowed to go out with her friends, but she was supposed to call a cab to get home. Narrator Finty Williams captures the sounds and emotions of young girls, as well as the fear and anger of frightened parents, when Jo takes a ride with a stranger. After Jo's experience, she has bad dreams, but she tells no one of her ordeal. When she's finally forced to confess, the story takes on further relevance for another girl in a similar situation. A fascinating sidelight is that Jo and her mother are psychic. Young listeners will love this story, which will keep them on edge until the last chapter.
