THE MARTHA RULES is a combination biography and how-to manual by business woman Martha Stewart. Read by the author, this is a straightforward beginner's book on entrepreneurship, based on her "rules," illustrated excessively with anecdotes about her own successes and other people's business ventures. Stewart's detached reading is clear and concise, but one can tell she's reading a text. The "rules" get lost in the stories and the name-dropping of people who have influenced her throughout her career in cooking/catering, radio, TV, and publishing.
