Narrators Helen Laser and Dan Bittner delight listeners with this celebrity second-chance romance. So she decides to follow up on a love letter from a mysterious former boyfriend. Elliot O'Brien, a star reporter, has a long history with Birdie and wants to chronicle her journey. Laser's admirable tone makes Birdie's mishaps and vulnerabilities relatable and lovable, while Bittner's warm, charismatic voice suggests Elliot's attractiveness. Both narrators' delivery of swoony dialogue makes this a heartwarming and enjoyable listen. Andrew Eiden adds an animated and expressive performance of gossipy newsreels between chapters.
