GHOSTLY TALES FOR GHASTLY KIDS

by | Read by Andrew Sachs

Children • 3.25 hrs • Unabridged • © 1992

Ghastly kids is a loose expression -- ghastliness is possible at any age. In Rix we have an apt student of Saki. His candidates for ghostly enterprise are children who are lazy, stubborn or downright malicious. For such a cast, the narrator is especially felicitous. Sachs is a one-man band with an offbeat sense of humor. He screeches and howls and whines, conjuring up a panoply of human and superhuman characters. Such goings-on are not recommended for the faint- or tender-hearted. The rest of us can giggle and gasp contentedly. S.B.S. ©AudioFile, Portland, Maine [Published: JUNE 95]
