CUTTING EDGE

Ron Keith manages to give even the chapter announcements dramatic impact in this well-crafted production of a 1991 book. In a nameless British city, someone is making slashing attacks on hospital personnel. It's up to Inspector Charlie Resnick to find out who and why. The plot follows several characters, all voiced, and shifts in scene are frequent, so it's impossible to become weary while listening as you get caught up in the personal lives of victims and police alike. False leads are made to sound plausible, so the truly horrifying denouement comes as a surprise. This production is up to Clipper's usual high standards.
