Two terrorist attacks in Washington, D.C., team up Ryan Kealey, of the CIA and the military, and Naomi Kharmai, an intelligence operative of unknown origins. Together they work to track down Jason March, a U.S.-trained South African-born terrorist, before he assassinates the president. Christopher Lane's gravelly voice is reflected in all his characters, Arabs, Americans, and British alike. His deep tones drop below audibility at the ends of phrases and sentences, forcing the listener to adjust the volume. As Kealey gets to his target and March is ready to pull the trigger, Lane's voice becomes more audible. Still, the inaudibility detracts from the tension and dialogue throughout.
