One author. One narrator. One tape. Classic Vonnegut. This very short book chronicles Vonnegut's "near-death experiences" administered by Dr. Kevorkian. The author interviews notables such as Shakespeare, Newton, and Clarence Darrow, in addition to regular people, on their way to heaven. (According to the book, there is no hell.) Scott Brick is excellent, and his smooth, sly voice is perfect for this author. Brick jumps right into the satire and leads us through some unique experiences. He hits every joke and uses his deep voice to accentuate Vonnegut's philosophical side, as well. This is one book that you really wish were longer. R.I.G.
