POPPY'S RETURN

The snug, familiar mouse world in which Poppy has lived with Rye and their offspring deep in the forest is about to end. Son Ragweed is exhibiting all the unsettling characteristics of a teenager, and sister Lily has arrived to request Poppy's urgent return to their childhood home at Grey House. John McDonough narrates with aplomb. He is the gentle teller of tales and the twinkling creator of memorable characters: the muttering porcupine, Ereth, the hip Ragweed, the tough but tender Mephitis, the understanding Rye, the wistful Lily, and a host of flora-named mouse children.
