STRANGE BEDFELLOWS

Melissa Maxwell narrates this Charlotte Justice mystery, which finds Charlotte revisiting the murder of her husband and daughter as an old investigation returns to the fore. Finding new information and gaining new perspectives lead her to secrets that are not buried as deeply as they once were. Maxwell takes on the persona of this complex character, who is outwardly as tough as any cop but who has not let her work overwhelm her personality. Maxwell skillfully uses pitch and tone to create her cast of characters. She brings out the relationships between the characters, including the tensions that ultimately will be resolved.
