GOOD LUCK, RONALD MORGAN

This extremely short work tells of a boy, Ronald, and his dog, Lucky, as they try to befriend the new neighbor girl and her cat. The mixture of boy/girl, dog/cat does not gel until the end; then the four become good pals. Woodman's narration is good. He reads in an understated, almost monotonous, manner that is meant to imitate Ronald's description of events. Adults may not like it, but the kids probably will.
