Enid Blyton's Secret Seven series throw groups of spirited British children together for adventures that are often dangerous but always lack violence, blood or gore. The Secret Seven--seven friends and a dog--mix boys and girls, all somewhere between the ages of 8 and 13 years old in adventures.The childish voices reproduced with crisp British accents by Greene are beguiling. In fact, the cheerful, plucky tone of the actress's readings is the most appealing thing about this volume, adding life and believeability to the pedestrian writing and unlikely plot twists.
