ONE DROP OF BLOOD

by | Read by Patrick Lawlor

Mystery & Suspense • 12 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2006

Because several of the characters in this mystery are meant to be in their 60s and others are Southern, the telling of this story might prove daunting for some, but not for Patrick Lawlor. A seasoned FBI agent and the director of the U.S. Central Identification Laboratories join forces to solve a couple of forty-year-old racially related murders in Arkansas. These murders become linked to two other deaths in the Vietnam War. Special Agent Michael Levine (deliberately mispronounced as "Leeevine" in the story by the typecast Southern sheriff) and "Kel" McKelvey team up to unravel the seemingly unrelated deaths. Lawlor's got his Southern accents and mature voices down pat, but his Vietnamese names and places seem off the mark. A.L.H. © AudioFile 2007, Portland, Maine [Published: FEB/ MAR 07]
