ARISTOTLE'S NOSTRIL

by | Read by Morris Gleitzman

Children Ages 8+ • 2.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2005

Aristotle and his brother, Blob, are germs who are unexpectedly sent into the world from their nostril home when their nostril sneezes. In this story we learn much more than we want to about germ life. Author Gleitzman narrates his own story and skillfully portrays all of the gross thoughts and actions of the germ brothers and their companions. On another level, Gleitzman cleverly makes statements against modern war by comparing it to the "cold war" brought on by a head cold. Kids will love the yucky details such as skin flakes, bunches of germ corpses in human hankies, and what happens to germs in whipped cream. An enjoyable grossness abounds amid the science.
