KIMBERLEY SUN

The remote town of Broome is Australia's last frontier and the perfect place for those with bad-and good or innocent-purposes to hide. In this sequel to TEARS OF THE MOON, we again meet up with Lily Barton as she continues her pearl farming venture. Many other characters are reintroduced, including Lily's daughter, Sami, who comes to terms with her Aboriginal roots. Narrator Kate Hood skillfully presents mother and daughter, the elderly and feisty Biddy and other Broome residents, as well as visitors from Afghanistan, Japan, and China-all of whom converge to share the myths and legends of their lives.
