When litigator Michael Seeley flies to Hollywood to confirm that United Pictures owns the franchise rights to their cash cow series SPYKILLER, they don't know Seeley's life borders on personal and career disaster because of indiscriminate drinking. Brian Keeler narrates a story of copyright issues, the blacklisting era of Hollywood, and former ties to atrocities committed in Nazi-occupied Poland. Speaking in a gruff, masculine tone, sometimes with thick German accents, he matches his pace to the story's design. He emphasizes character development and motivation with subtle innuendos and sometimes snappy dialogue, rather than focusing on action and suspense. Although well done, the story is story difficult to follow, and the tone of the work is uneven. G.D.W. © AudioFile 2006, Portland, Maine [Published: DEC 06/ JAN 07]
