This book consists of excerpts about America from Churchill's magisterial and lengthy HISTORY OF THE ENGLISH-SPEAKING PEOPLES. The excerpts are selected and read by Churchill's grandson, who bears the same name. Churchill's rich voice is dignified and pleasant to the ear, and he reads with an interesting tone and even pace. When listening to Churchill the editor/reader, one feels like one is listening to what Churchill the great political leader must have sounded like. The book is a great look at America from its colonial origins to WWII through the eyes of the great English political leader and observer.
