Eric Fox clearly enjoyed performing this audiobook mash-up of 1950s movies featuring rampaging giant insects and the 1975 blockbuster JAWS. Fox gives each character a distinct voice and style, making it effortless for listeners to track who's speaking. His descriptions of the ruthless attacks of buffalo-sized ticks will make listeners' skin crawl. Naturally, the creatures are the product of evil scientific experiments by greedy industrialists. Several heroes emerge, including a young Native American newspaper reporter and her editor. She's the altruistic one; he's the flawed hero. Together, they fight to stop the ticks from overrunning the tiny town of Tomahawk Hollow. This is a fun throwback to the Saturday movie matinees of the 1950s and '60s.
