HIDING FROM THE LIGHT

Erskine cleverly weaves a haunting tale of contemporary life and ghosts of the past, literal and figurative. When she buys a cottage she loved as child, Emma Dickinson finds herself caught up in a seventeenth-century witch hunt that has yet to be resolved. Along with finding her true self, as well as a soul mate, she makes some hard choices. Juanita McMahon's British accent sounds native as she solidly captures each character, past or present. In making each character come alive, her evocative, breathless speech adds to both the suspenseful and passionate scenes. Erskine fans will enjoy this.
