With all the talent enlisted, this program should be better. The story, drawn from legend and fact, tries to cover the entire life of its subject--a mighty task for twenty-five minutes. The characterizations are adequate but have no depth. The second side is instrumental only. The music is companionable with the text, but generally not memorable enough to stand alone.
