WEB OF EVIL

Karen Ziemba's narration places listeners right in the middle of a mystery with her convincing characterization of determined ex-reporter-turned-detective Ali Reynolds. Returning to Los Angeles to finalize her divorce, Ali finds her husband dead and his new fiancée pregnant. Suddenly Ali is surrounded by expensive attorneys and countless reporters who see her as the prime suspect. When the fiancée's mother is killed, the only thing keeping Ali together is her blog, called the " web of evil" by another mysterious blogger. Ziemba threads emotions into her reading and weaves interest with thumbnail portraits of Ali's protective mom, steady father, and the grieving fiancée.
