Paul Chequer and Syan Blake offer a gripping narration of this captivating children's adventure in which a middle school game of "dare" turns dangerous. The dares aren't supposed to be risky, but when Ricky disappears while performing his, his best friend Theo joins with Angela, the girl who wrote the dare, to find him. It's a perilous business. Chequer narrates most of the book, with occasional narration by Syan Blake, who reads Angela's diary entries. Blake is perfect as the stubborn, unhappy Angela, and Chequer handles many different adolescent characters with aplomb.
