AT SOME DISPUTED BARRICADE

Fans of "Masterpiece Theatre" or radio dramas of old will especially enjoy this riveting period piece, delivered in proper British accents. Michael Page effectively presents the horror and heroism of the trenches of Flanders during WWI. His artful use of accents, from the plummy tones of the War Office and the Officer Corps to the humbler speech of British "Tommies" from England's city streets and country lanes, carries the listener easily through all the plot twists. Page brings sufficient emotion to his performance to lift this story of simple bravery, arrogant incompetence, and international intrigue to vibrant life without ever going over the top.
