This is truly a treat. A classic devotional makes its way into the world of audio, and, with tracks between two and three minutes apiece, it can fit into anyone's busy schedule. Two verses for each day of the year (one verse for morning devotions, one for evening), with exegesis by the “Prince of Preachers” himself and eloquent narration by James Adams, give the listener a small window onto the world of Spurgeon's nineteenth-century London. Spurgeon's writing is so strong and the subject matter so timeless that the devotionals still hold relevance today. Adams’s voice bridges the gap of over a century with grace and humility.
