HORRIBLE HARRY GOES TO THE MOON

Kline's school-set gems, enlivened by Johnny Heller, continue to delight. In this episode, Harry's class learns lunar facts and pitches in to raise funds for a classroom telescope with which to study the moon's surface. As usual, Harry, Doug, Song Lee, and Mary throw themselves into the project with enthusiasm. Johnny Heller conveys their youthful enthusiasm as easily as he does their distinct personalities. Heller's talent at creating exuberant classroom life continues to delight, and his engaging, youthful voice captures the wonder and excitement of childhood conversations without ever sounding condescending. The story's many details and references to other exciting moments in Miss Mackle's class deepen this series and the characters Kline has created.
