A CORPSE IN THE SOUP

by | Read by Stephanie Brush

Mystery & Suspense • 7 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2007

A CORPSE IN THE SOUP is a delightful spoof on the "food mystery." Stephanie Brush portrays a wide range of characters, from a former vaudeville performer in his 80s to an arrogant TV chef and a ditzy starlet wannabe. The fun begins when Godiva is hospitalized after sampling a dish on a cooking show, then starts dating the chef. Who can resist hearing about characters with names like Caesar Romano and Biff Wellington? The mystery may be light, but it has action, suspense, multiple suspects, and surprises--all marinated in a rich sauce of humor. Occasionally, Brush speaks too closely to the microphone, overly emphasizing her consonants. But her dialogue is natural, with all the appropriate emotions.
