This is the thirteenth novel in the immensely popular Inspector Rebus series, set in Edinburgh. As a result of an infraction, Rebus is placed with a team of other erring cops, so-called "resurrection men," who are rehabilitating themselves by pursuing an old case. But do they all want it solved? Could some team members be "dirty"? Which one or ones are impeding the investigation? And why? Have they--and will they again--stoop to murder? For Americans, the BBC Radio dramatization may call for intense listening as the British accents are thick. Otherwise, the production rewards listeners with fine acting and plenty of atmosphere.
