FANCY PANTS

Susan Elizabeth Phillips is best known for her Chicago Stars football series, but her work also includes several novels set in the world of golf. FANCY PANTS, Phillips's riches-to-rags-to-riches novel, is the story of British aristocrat Francesca Day and golf phenom Dallas Beaudine, who can't seem to win the big ones. The late Anna Fields narrated 15 of the author's novels about alpha males and feminine heroines who find their way to each other. As always, Fields deftly conveys Phillips's unique humor and romantic sensibilities. Fields's vocal range skillfully moves among the many male and female characters -- including children --and the plethora of accents, both American and British.
