COLD PURSUIT

The modern British police procedural often tells us as much about the private lives of police officers as it does about the crimes and criminals who engage their attention. COLD PURSUIT is clearly in the modern camp, as we learn all there is to know about Chief Superintendent Frances Harman and her colleagues as they investigate a series of incidents that progress from "happy slappings" to serious sexual assault. Diana Bishop's suspenseful, well-paced reading keeps the listener hooked throughout. While she does not provide individual voices, as some narrators do, the listener always knows who is speaking.
