IF YOU'RE NOT HERE, PLEASE RAISE YOUR HAND: POEMS ABOUT SCHOOL

Former teacher Dakos knows what it's like to be in third grade, and, with wit and insight, she examines the fun and angst of going to school. Although most of the poems are humorous, a few, like "Name Calling," are serious and touching. The narrators, a woman and two men, read the poems with an enthusiasm that captures their music and rhythm. Unfortunately, there's no narrator attribution.
