Nick Scott, a former SAS (British special forces) agent who was captured and tortured in the first Gulf War, is getting his life together when his daughter, Sarah, disappears. He sets out to find her on his own and then is joined by Jed Bradley, an active SAS agent. Their quest leads them back to Iraq, where Nick must confront his demons. Gordon Griffin captures Nick's gruff hostility and brings life to all the other characters with convincing accents, which he manages to keep consistent throughout the frequent switches in setting--no mean feat. Unfortunately, even a talented narrator can't overcome a repetitive story with a plot that doesn't make much sense. S.S.R. © AudioFile 2008, Portland, Maine [Published: APR/ MAY 08]
