BROTHERS IN BATTLE, BEST OF FRIENDS Two WWII Paratroopers from the Original Band of Brothers Tell Their Story

by | Read by Dick Hill

Biography & Memoir • 10.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2007

This work is a memoir of two men who were, and still are, from South Philly. Guarnere and Heffron did not know each other until they were posted to E ("Easy") Company, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. Both men tell the story of their lives before, during, and after WWII. They speak with candor, and this reviewer is reminded of the stories that his father and uncle told of their career and wartime service. Dick Hill does a splendid job in performing this gem of a tale, even managing to sound like a native son of Philadelphia. Listeners are treated to a marvelous story of humans at their best and worst.
