IN GUILTY NIGHT

The beauty of the Welsh countryside conceals an ugly situation. Young boys from a home for wayward youth have been "loaned out" for sexual purposes to wealthy perverts. When Arwell, one of the victims, runs away and then turns up dead, Inspector McKenna and his staff investigate. Kay gives ample voice to Taylor's well-rounded characters--the lonely, wise Inspector, Arwell's feisty sister, a pass-the-buck social worker. The talky pathologist's Welsh accent gets a bit singsongy; otherwise, this police procedural will keep you listening.
