Francois Battiste reads the chapters from Walker's point of view, revealing the uncertainty lurking just under the surface of his hip poise. Battiste is adept at expressing Walker's sharp mind and natural charm. Meyers and Battiste's teamwork meshes smoothly in this funny and engaging story with a realistic middle school setting.
