Dirk Pitt is back, and narrator Michael Prichard has him. Prichard has Pitt's pacing, demeanor, and wit; in fact, you practically "see" the underwater adventurer's "boyish, yet rigged" smile in every sentence. In Inca Gold, Cussler has thrust Dirk Pitt and his usual cast of comrades beneath a Mexican mountain wherein hides an underwater river and, of course, treasure and intrigue. Prichard brings a sense of enjoyment to every situation. The only conceivable flaw might be Cussler's insistence upon lecturing the listener at every possible turn about the importance of metric measurement. You'll love Inca Gold.
